A few weeks ago whilst searching for one of Richard’s YouTube videos, I noticed they were all removed; I felt it wasn’t my place to ask what happened, but thanks for the additional info Gerald.
Wishing Richard the best of luck as he starts a new chapter, and want to thank him sincerely as SOTA co-creator, because without him, I would not have the wonderful memories (and photos/videos) of all the beautiful places I have visited for SOTA.
I said the same at the Hog Roast last year, I didn’t repeat myself in Blackpool recently, but I think Richard “gets it”. What a legacy. Maybe he’ll come back to it, who knows.
I received them over the weekend. These look and sound pretty good for the relatively low price. Definitely something to throw in the bag for portable along with a cheap pair of earbuds so you have two fit options as well as a backup. Thanks for the heads up!
Congratulations on the KX2 - you won’t be disappointed (I say that as a KX3 owner). I received my headphones last week, and yesterday I set up an antenna in my garden and gave them a spin with my Rooster 40m and mountain topper 5b. Sounds good with both. I even dared to put out a CQ with a straight key on the rooster - thankfully no one came back (I am learning morse, but it terrifies me!!). Depending on my mothers health this week, I hope to get up a hill later this week and try them with the KX3.
