HB175RAIL on air in September and October 2022

A next try just soon for HB175RAIL around 1230z local time, so check the spots on SOTAwatch or let HamAlert ring the bell.

Taking profit of some hours of sunshine after a rainy night on Mt. Sonnenberg, just outside of Lucerne.

Cu and enjoy

How many engines does it have to pull such a long train?

Geoff vk3sq

7 engines and 100 cars according to news on Austrian television.

Yes, and the longest ever train was reported as the final item on the main BBC News at lunchtime (Chasers don’t sit in the shack all day waiting for action you know!):

I see HB175RAIL was QRV about 15 mins ago on 60m band. I just got back home from a trip to the recycligng dump and missed it! Time for another band maybe, although it will soon be dark in Switzerland.
