GM/SS-272 Arthur's Seat

Hi all
I have not been out in the summit’s for a time but heading out for a weeks holiday from this Friday. I have the letter of permission to activate Arthur’s Seat GM/SS-272 and I hope to be on the air on Monday 29th August. Not sure what time yet but will have access to 80m-10m SSB and CW (14 wpm max please)
Then Tuesday onwards around Northumberland area, hopefully G/SB-009 and maybe another just to get a few more uniques.
I will post again closer and alert and spot

Paul,

Drop me a PM when you know your times. We have an Arthur’s Seat SOTA peak here and I’m interested in an Arthur to Arthur SOTA - if the times are doable for me and we have the ionisation to match.

We also have a Mt Martha HEMA peak not far from Arthur’s Seat. Not much chance if me getting confused.

sounds great and it would be a first for me to get a contact to VK, been playing radio’s for about 6 years now and only heard VK but no replys. I take it early morning would be better?

Hi Paul,
Probably 0600 to 0700 UTC is best but 2000 to 2100 might also work. Ive only worked EU SOTA in our late afternoon.

Either of those times would avoid most of the public Paul. Its an awkward place to activate on HF during normal daytime hours: Arthurs Seat de GM4OBK/P
