GM/CS-070 Failure

Reached the summit, called CQ, nobody wanted to play, got very wet, went home!

In other words it was a beautiful morning for the walk, base layer to the summit. Got the antenna set-up and found I couldn’t self spot. No response on 5MHz then the heavens opened! Now I know what is meant by an Indian Summer (ours are the VU form - all monsoon!). No point getting the radio soaked so I just abandoned the hill - sorry!

Another time

So long as Tommy enjoyed it.

In reply to GM4TOE:

Bad luck, Barry, Kp is 6 at the moment, it might be worth listening for “Scottish” type aurora on VHF!
