Well I’m glad he got his spot out for this activation. A bit of “fail to prepare then prepare to fail” testing yesterday evening by Tim showed that InReach spotting was not working. A sensible move by Tim though he was testing he knew what to do not that the server had been beaten to death by script-kiddies from the Middle Kingdom! Luckily I was up early, saw the mail from Tim and I got the server running again in time. Or it may have been a lot harder getting chasers considering just where on Gran Canaria Tim is today.
Tim,
Well done mate congratulations and well deserved. You have certainly put a lot of effort into your activating. I’m disappointed that band conditions were not in my favor and was unable to log you on your MG day. Thanks for all of the points you have given me over the past. onward and upward as they say and good luck for the future in Sota and whatever else you decide to do.
Don GW0PLP.
Congratulations Tim! Although we await his log to be uploaded to check
We didn’t make it to the summit in time to chase you.
Congratulations Tim! Done in fine style.
It’s been great to chase you this week on at least five of your summits. 10m and 15m SSB working really well to GM, despite “dead bands”.
Even better to have worked you on your Goat Activation today!
Welcome to the herd.
Congratulations Tim on achieving Mountain Goat.

Many congratulations Tim. An excellent achievement and one attained while HF is not in good shape. Unfortunately I’m 70 miles away from my rigs today so I couldn’t even attempt to hear you through my local QRM.

Many congratulations mate. Sorry the bands weren’t playing for me to work you today. Time for a celebration I reckon
Congratulations !

Congratulations @G5OLD Tim, sorry I couldn’t chase you on your special activation - I am /M travelling up north. Sounds like you had a great activation, and picked an awesome summit to hit your MG on well done buddy, catch up soon!

Congratulations and especially for doing it so quickly.

Thank you all ! That was a fine mountain to finish, even if I struggled with the bands - at the start I was wondering if I had to quickly learn the Spanish for goat, after pretty much radio silence on 10 and 17m, but 15m came good again.
A huge thanks to Raúl EA8AMT for the support in activating this phone-free summit. He climbed up high on Tenerife and diligently spotted me on HF via 2m. Thanks RAÚL!
The ~scramble~ rather, climb, up to the summit ranks up there as being a tad exposed with friable rock. Raúl EA8AMT did warn me! This may be a 4 pointer but it is the toughest on GC.
Full write up to follow.
Hello Tim,
glad to be the only S2S in yor MG day!
Congratulations, well done!
