Thanks to all chasers yesterday on the remaining SE SOTAs I need to activate to finish this area off. I drove 345 miles in the day arriving at SE-002 Leith Hill car park after a 265 drive by midday. I completed 4 SOTAs , the last one, Ditchling Beacon in darkness - easy because it is a “drive on” summit. Just about to leave YHA South Downs, staying at YHA Littlehampton tonight after activating SE-010 011 009.
Same routine as yesterday, 30m and 20m QRP CW, with advance notice of my arrival either using RRT or DAS by Roy G4SSH - thanks Roy.
Fantastic QRP day today over 4 G/SE Summits. Worked over 120 contacts and even did some 20m SSB. Mobile phone coverage patchy on summits, good on ascents, so thanks to Roy G4SSH for aletting my approaches which always boosts the QSO total.
Still fullova cold, picked up in Scotland last week. A diet of Ginsters pasties, Lem Sips and Strepsils got me round today.
Eight summits completed, six to do, four planned for tomorrow.
