Long time lurker here, restricted mobility and love reading the reports and photos.
For those who have activated Cleeve Hill before the iconic photo is of the 3 communications masts at it’s highest point, well, now there are only 2.
The police, who own the site, have decided that one of the masts is unsafe and has been removed. Hopefully the interference to 2m from pagers has gone but i doubt it.

The mast that was removed has had nothing on it for several years (at least since 2018)
Never experienced any interference during any of my activations.
Perhaps I was doing something wrong and should have used the Bandpass filter so many are raving about…
I agree - I used my Xiegu x6100 to activate here and this picks up AM interference quite easily, such as on Dundry Down. Never had an issue but I did setup away from the mast.
I used a Ft817nd with 2m homebrew dipole and coax choke with no interference. A yaesu vx8 de with both stock antenna or the diamond RH771 suffered interference and a Baofeng was unsuable.
Interference was a short burst of noise lasting around a second or two, very loud annoying buzz. HF is fine.
VX8 is well known for being rubbish with an external antenna in situations like this.
