FT8 settings...

This query is intended for IC-705 and FT-857 users.
About half a year ago I started using FT8 in my activations.
With the FT-857 I use it by bringing the microphone closer to the smartphone and the application I use is “iFTx” and with respect to the IC-705 I link it to the smartphone through the “SDR-Mobile” app
In the case of the FT-857 (without filters) do I have to put it in USB or DIGI? And in the case of the IC-705, should I receive it without the filter activated?
If you have any ideal configurations for these two rigs, I would appreciate it.

Hi Takeo,
I use the widest SSB filter settings for whatever rig I use. This may be 2.6 kHz on tx and 3 kHz on Rx. I use a SignaLink with screened audio leads and a choke on the USB cable to a laptop computer.
