FT8 on the Hill (tr)uSDX & Phone

For people looking to try Activating with FT8 there is a new Android app that allows you to work from a mobile Phone. Check out the imaginatively named app FT8 Radio. It is work in progress but it does work. It works through Cat control or Vox.
I have used it with a (tr)uSDX Radio. I built an audio adapter and all works well. Details of the adapter can be found here OSH Park ~

The only issue I had was getting the trs plugs, which i finally found on Mouser. (Thanks Peter MW0PJE)

Hi Martin, the Android App that I know of is called “FT8 Radio” not just FT8 - I presume this is the same one. Now, try teaming that up with the SOTAMÄT App and you can spot yourself using FT8 if you join the App development team.

Thanks thats the one, I have edited the post. I am not getting a link to SOTAMĂ„T in the UK Playstore. Is it a German app?

No it’s from the US -
You need to sign up as a beta tester to get access.
