Hello SOTAteers, Chasers and Activators alike !
From 7th of March until 9th of March 2025 we will be re-revisiting the Belgian Ardennes for a μdxpedition to four Belgian SOTA peaks with a little winter bonus:
in non-chronological order:
ON/ON-009 Iverst, SOTLAS
ON/ON-001 Signal de Botrange, SOTLAS
ON/ON-011 Sur Clair Fa, SOTLAS
ON/ON-010 Baraque Fraiture, SOTLAS
Travel / logistics process:
From the center of the Netherlands, start to the first summit, then to the lodge near Malmedy, where we will start chasing on all applicable bands. The four above stated summits will be visited again as we will select them according to weather and “on the ground” conditions. We thank you for chasing and cheering us on. Again “Sur Clair Fa” looks challenging again as it is a reachability challenge. Lets hope we get you a llt of points !
Bands:
HF and VHF/UHF bands will be used, according to propagation and band: preferred bands:
HF: 160/80/40/20/17/15/10 CW/SSB/DIGITAL
VHF: 2M (CW:144050,VHF FM 145.500, UHF FM 433.500, digital )
we will utilize full size dipoles and verticals for good signal delivery and a lot of fun !
