Did my first Festivals On The Air activation from the Upton Blues Festival this morning. M0CBC worked M1EYP/P on 40m and OE20SOTA/P on 20m despite stupidly high local noise levels.

I didn’t know Festivals on the Air was a thing. I would’ve set up a station a couple of weeks ago and joined in.

When I saw ‘FOTA’ I thought this must be ‘Forts On The Air’ (as in hill forts and the Welsh Borders has got quite a lot of them) but.perhaps, it’s an ‘age’ thing!
