Good news for digital modes fans… the excellent fldigi multi-mode digital terminal program has been ported to Android. It’s still in beta at present. You can download a copy to play with from Index of /vk2eta but remember it’s still beta and so it may have some nasty surprises still.
I’ve used it for a long time now on both Linux and Windows and have found it to be really excellent in performance and reliability. The availability for Android means that you can run it on a phone or tablet. It’s coded in Java and C++ for ARM so you’ll need a phone/tablet with an ARM CPU (99.99% of Android devices). It will probably need a modern-ish device to run OK so super budget phones may not have the horsepower.
Certainly a move in the right direction.
