Flag broken links on Summit Page

Some months ago the feature “FLAG BROKEN LINKS" got introduced:

@VK3ARR posted this comment in another thread:

I don’t think that this script is running every few months!? Here in OE/OO region we have a lot of broken links on the summit pages. From time to time I check some of the entries but a script checking all entries for broken links would be great …

I use this on some sites:

https://www.deadlinkchecker.com/

I understand Python has a built in checker.

The point Martin is raising that no removal of links that are marked as incorrect/faulty/irrelevant is happening.

The automatic detection of faulty links is another story indeed.

I haven’t run the script in a few months is probably more accurate a statement. I’ll add it to my to-do list for this week.

@VK3ARR

I think I found a small bug within the “flag article” function. When I flag an article and leave the dropdown-menu empty (not choosing any reason) the flag disappears but it does not show up as a red flag on the left side. See the summit OE/NO-278 where I did test this:

  1. Flag article

  1. If I don’t choose any of the four options

  1. Flag on the right disappearing, on the left not showing up

EDIT: Just noticed that when I refresh the page the flag on the right side shows up only for a very short time and then disappears (some milliseconds) …
