As Markus HB9DIZ had already announced, there was a trip to FL/VL.
We had a lovely vacation home near Berzé-la-Ville (between Macon and Cluny). Almost all of the planned summits were within a 30-minute drive. Only FL/VL-011 and FL/VL-055 were about an hour’s drive away.
The parking areas for the summits are easy to find. There are many summits you can drive directly to… and most are just a few minutes’ walk away. FL/VL-032 and FL/VL-072 take about 30 minutes to reach.
This trip would therefore also be suitable for people who want to do a SOTA - trip for the first time.
Unfortunately, Markus had to leave two days early and didn’t manage to complete the entire program… he missed two summits. Otherwise, it would have been exactly 20 summits with a total of 94 points. (More importantly for me, though: 17 completes! 
)
Of course, there aren’t only summits… the Maconnaise landscape boasts endless vineyards.

…Charolais cattle are grazing in the pasture. They are as beautiful … as they are delicious!

On the way to the summit you pass “fields” of foxgloves.

And there are always beautiful Romanesque churches.

This area has so much more to offer than just summits… It appeals to all the senses!
Definitely a recommended travel destination!
