Location: Eastern Balkan Mountains (Sliven Mountain section), situated directly west of the city of Sliven, Bulgaria. It sits within the buffer zone of the “Blue Stones” (Sinite Kamani) Nature Park.
Elevation: The peak itself reaches 817 m above sea level, marked by a triangulation point at its highest summit.
The name “Barmuk” has old roots (from the Ottoman period), associated by local traditions with names for heights from which there is good visibility or control over the roads.
Trails: Accessible via short, steep hiking paths starting from Sliven’s western neighborhoods (Klutsohor / Komluka) or via a dirt/gravel tracks suitable for mountain biking and off-road vehicles.
