I am posting this message because tomorrow, Saturday, October 31, 2026—weather permitting—I plan to activate 3 SOTA (Summits on the Air) summits using QRP (low-power) equipment.
In addition to CW and SSB, I intend to transmit via SSTV (Slow-Scan TV).
The specific times and modes will be posted on SOTAwatch.
Please note, however, that given my setup—a 10-meter mast (or a tall tree) and a home-built EFHW (End-Fed Half-Wave) antenna—it is quite possible that I may not be able to receive your signals.
Conversely, with your fixed station equipment, it is very likely that you will be able to receive mine.
I would be very interested if you could post any images you manage to receive, even if a two-way contact is not successfully established.
The purpose of this “request” is to help me gauge the “reach” and signal quality at that specific moment. Furthermore, this is my first time attempting such an experiment within the SOTA framework.
