F5MUX - incorrectly spotting on RBN

F5MUX is spotting incorrect QRG via RBNGate.
Both GM0BPU and DF2GN have both been spotted this afternoon by the rogue skimmer on 14Mhz when they are in fact on 7 Mhz.

Just tried it myself here to confirm it’s F5MUX

KU6J - any chance you can disable him from RBNGate as it’s overwriting good spots!
PS I’ve emailed him and asked him to fix it.

Hi Pete,

A few activators operating this morning on 40m have been incorrectly spotted via F5MUX as being on 20m.

This post is to bring this topic up to the top of the reflector so chasers will be aware.

Thanks & 73,

Yes Pete, I just added F5MUX to my list of RBN skimmers to ignore. If he informs you that the problem with his skimmer has been corrected, please let me know and I’ll take it back off the ignore list.

Thanks Eric,

It wasn’t such a problem for me as I was aware of the issue, thanks to Pete’s post above. Those who may have been unaware may have tried calling on the spotted frequency & caused no end of chaos

Thanks & best 73,

Cheers Eric.

I’ve been in contact with F5MUX but he is currently away from his home QTH.
The earliest he can sort the skimmer out is late Monday.

I’ll email you direct once he’s good to go again.
