Fantastic trip Ian, and excellent description and pictures. I didn’t like the sound of your Carnedd LLewelyn route at all and could quite see why you wished you’d had company - or chosen a different path. I’m very sorry we never made a UHF s2s when I. was on GW/MW-038 Disgwlfa Fawr which should have been possible, with signal reports 58/57 on VHF. It was just that we didn’t manage to find each other and it was too late by the time I was told you’d been calling for me on 70cm. Better luck next time - and I’m glad you got your UHF badge!

Thanks for suggesting the 70cm s2s. I did hear you on 433.475, SR33 at 11:15 UTC in a QSO with another station, but could not hear the other station, so it was difficult to time my “summit to summit” call. Did try the calling frequency a few times too. Sorry I missed you but did try! 
Look forward to trying again next time.
