Thats a strange one Andy as the V2000 has more gain though I have heard people before say the X50 outperfroms the V2000 on 2m. I’m sure that we will have a QSO again soon.

Thanks Geoff, a flat cap is what I’m wearing in this video (and previous ones) that is often worn by us Yorkshire people. 73 Chris M0RSF
Thanks Chris, I have one too. We just call them caps in VK.

Hi Chris, same here, I was using a FTM300D into a collinear, my soldering skills are slow, the patch lead was so I could drive a 50watt amp with the KX3 (the 2m Module installed is 3 watts out max). I plan to use the KX3 for HF and 2m at Home swell as Portable.
I agree with the others , the flies and midges go for certain smells relating to blood and sweat!! especially when we do steep summit walks in this heat Hi

Hmm. I thought the flat cap was a way of differentiating the wearer from the Roundheads in days of yore.
Flat caps are worn by vintage car drivers in these parts.

Another great video Chris. A relaxing watch and like the first picture overlooking the Three Yorkshire Peaks.

The tradition is older than that. Parliament passed a law in 1571 requiring all men except noblemen to wear a woollen cap (flat but larger than the modern ones). Even though the law was repealed about twenty years later it had by then become a fashion, and as they say, the rest is history.
