"Easy" Joshua Tree summits?

Going to be near Joshua Tree early October. Any fairly easy summits one might recommend? Trying to get back into shape but not there yet

Thanks in advance!

Great place, did a bit of hiking there a couple of years ago looking for old mines. Didn’t take an radio gear on that trip but would love to go back some day and explore a bit more.

Inspiration Point is probably the easiest. Ryan Mountain isn’t too hard.

Queen Mountain and Quail Mountain are more challenging cross county hikes in some beautiful high desert country.

Easy for EZ; I get it!
Eric’s comments are right on; be prepared for beauty overload.
There are a couple of peaks on the western edge of the park as well; look at SOTLAS.

I have been searching Sotl.as. Love that site. Inspiration seems the best at this point. Thank you all!

A bit of perspiration is good too. Happy hiking.

True. Early spring is a great time in JTree. The desert wildflowers are everywhere and temps are often near perfect.

Two off the top of my head are Ryan Mountain (easy trail)

And Inspiration (easy bushwhack)

October can still be “stupidly” hot in SoCal and the Palm Springs /Joshua area can easily get above 100F. Pick your time accordingly and take tons of water.
