Heading to the EA5 region in a few weeks (yay!). Without a full license I won’t be able to activate any summits.
It’s a hiking trip… and of course, there will be SOTA summits on various routes in the area.
The question is, whether it’s OK to share ‘reports’ of the various SOTA summits I encounter, without activating them?
Happy to share good routes and photos on here (if acceptable), plus I do like seeking SOTA summits because I tend to plan/look at maps a little differently.
more photos like the marvellous one, you showed as an example, would be much appreciated, regardless wether you did radio there or not. They are a pleasant view and they help planning.

I’d add GPX routes to SOTA summits. They may be helpful. By the way, which province in EA5? Is that Aitana EA5/AT-001 as seen from Puig Campana EA5/AT-002? If you’re coming to EA5/AT, we can try to arrange a hike together!
Thanks Johannes - I’ll do my best. Hoping for some good weather.
Thanks for the offer @EA5IYL Mikel - more than happy to hike with someone else. Yes, probably the AT area. Last time I stayed in Benifato, but this time in Facheca (for the first week), and Finestrat (for the second).
I’ll probably be doing some of the ‘classics’ like Puig Campana and Serra Aitana again (between 26-30 Dec)… and looking for some new routes that hopefully include SOTA summits. Yes, you’re right - the picture is exactly as you pointed out. Taken on Christmas Day.
Here’s a pic taken on the opposite side, the next day.
