On 15 March, right on the Ides of March, Julio @EA1FTW reached his first 1,000 points and achieved his first ‘Goat Mountain’ 
. Julio, whose passion for amateur radio comes from his father, as he said one day, ‘Every time I reached a summit, I felt closer to him.’
Furthermore, the real reward came a few days ago, when he got his father’s callsign and he would put It again on the air. So now Julio is @EA1EOT.
Julio’s passion for ham radio is balanced with his passion for nature. And he manages to convey this to those of us who follow his achievements. Often accompanied by his friend Alfredo @EA1FBU and frequently awaited by colleagues in the Canary Islands (EA8) on VHF 
.
Although he’s already on his way to his second goat, it’s not too late to introduce this new goat in EA. Thanks for the enthusiasm putting into the 2026 VHF SSB challenge, he’s surprising me with every DX VHF he reach almost from every summit.
