I was watching a video by M0FXB on YouTube about the Yaesu 991A possibly being discontinued by Yaesu, when this comment caught my eye. I know I haven’t activated recently, but never heard of this?
There is the 2m/70cm SSB challenge this year, but the rewards are not activator points, but seperate challenge points based on distance and number of people worked (unique summits for chasers).
On the honor roles section of the database pages you can see the current standings for both activators and chasers.
The regular summit activation points (between 1 point and 10 points) are still applied as normal to the regular scores. The challenge points do not have any effect on this.

They are not quite right, this year’s challenge is SSB/CW on 2m and 70cm, scoring by distances in km, regular SOTA is unchanged. You will have to scroll down a long way for the announcement and rules. and a lot of debate has covered things like antennas and polarisation.

It’s not in the Honour Rolls section but the Challenges section.
Paul all the rules on line so when you have questions like this you can check for yourself and see that dennisyardn1ten328 is talking something that rhymes with “rowlocks”.
