DM/BW-038 & 228

Hi guys just a heads up I am planning on activating DM/BW-038 in the morning followed by DM/BW-228, I am not going to add to alerts as I am not 100% on times etc. I had not planned any summits today but ended up activating DM/BW-853 & 854 as Michelle got board of just looking around Bodensee hi hi.
I managed 22 qso’s on 854 including S2S with HB9GSY/P on HB/SZ-005, DM7KN/P on DM/HE-001, and DL/YO5IA/P & DL/YO5MCM/P both on DM/BM-324. Then we traveled to DM/BW-853 and managed another 29 qso’s including S2S with DL/YO5IA/P & DL/YO5MCM/P on DM/BM-271 then DG4SFF/P with DC1GB/P on DM/BW-110. I could hear my friend M0CQE on 20/40M but I don’t think you could hear me Paul sorry. I did manage a qso with GW4VPX (Allen) a good friend nice to speak with you.
I had to find shelter for the first activation as it was 35 degrees.

There was a light cloud covering on the second summit so a lot cooler.

Hi Paul

Good to catch up with you on your trip. I’ve been trying since the beginning of your tour but usually get to the rig and you’ve gone…my fault🙁. Enjoy the rest of the trip and I’ll try again😁…enjoy.

Hello Paul, I heard you for just a few seconds on 14.294Mhz.from DM/BW-854. 12:20UTC. 20/08/ 2023. called you back with 4/4.Then you were back into the QRM of your pileup. By the way Paul My old radio will not transmit above 7.100 on the 40Mtr. Band. When I bought it that was the top limit for Tx. on that band. I can hear above that but not speak. Some Activators spend a short time just below 7.100 for QSO’s with old chasers who have old radios like mine. 73 de Paul M0CQE.
