DL-Association: Last Summit activated by DD1LD !

Yesterday July 18th, 2025, marked a fundamental milestone for the DL-Association:

DZIANIS, DD1LD, had 66 QSOs from the last remaining, never activated summit in the DL-Association !

In the beautiful Karwendel - Mountains - Region.

The Tiefkarspitze, DL/KW-014, 2430m.

At the same time it was the last, never activated SOTA-summit in overall Germany (excluding the Dammersfeldkuppe which is located in non-accessible military area).

The fact it took > 20 years till first activation speaks for itself - it is extremely difficult and requires great hiking and climbing skills.

Thanks for the S2S contact on 2m FM from a much easier summit and congrats on your success, Dzianis. 4 hours downhill afterwards requires high leveled dedication. Enjoy!

These are spectacular views. Tour descriptions give an idea of how challenging this climb must have been. Hats off, Dzianis @DD1LD :muscle: - and thanks for the S2S :+1:

Congrats Dzianis for this milestone. Looks like a good piece of mountaineering to get up there. Looking at the hikr reports at least a T5 trail with UIAA II climbs. Would be interesting to get more details on your approach.
