Desire for nostalgia? Homebrew tube trx

Yesterday I finally added a tube tx to my tube rx. Output power 1W at 100V anode voltage. The Superhet rx works with only 12V anode voltage.

The first test at a summit is still pending and will take place in the next few days.

Here is a video with an introduction and some details about the tx. In my youtube channel there are some videos about the rx, but unfortunately everything is only in German.

Fine stuff,
An important facet of Sota is experimentation and challenge.

I must say I do get a buss out of keying:
“RIG HERE HB 100W QSK BASED ON PLESSY CHIPS WITH REAL VFO. KEY ALSO HB MODELED ON J38 WITH SEVERAL IMPROVEMENTS”

But that is only at home! On the hills I run the 857, shack in a box, sorry!

Kind regards

Today I had my first contact with Lars, SA4BLM over 1000km with my homebrew trx. Here are the details in english. The drift you hear comes from the rx. The tx signal is ok.

I suscribed to your YouTube channel so I got a notification about the video and I watched it last night.

I enjoyed listening to the QSO. The drift was a bit of added character!

Keep up the good work and hope to work you again soon.
