The database web server has been rebooted and some disk checking performed by the hosting company. It seems to be working at present so I think it’s OK to use it again.
If you start seeing HTTP 503 error message pages (webserver unavailable or webserver temporarily busy) then stop what you’re doing and go away for 30mins.
The actual database is backed up daily and backups are spread out onto 2 servers in separate continents. This is all handled automatically. For peace of mind, I have confirmed the backup is safe.
