Curtis Hays on Ham Nation

Curtis Hays (KC5CW),

Way to go on your video on Ham Nation ! Congrats ! It’s a great way to promote Summits On The Air (SOTA), hopefully that got the new hams excited.

To be specific, the Sota segment starts 45 minutes into Ham Nation episode 118, and it is 4 minutes long. Nice work by KC5CW.

Excellent work Colin.
It’s at 33 minutes for those who don’t want to watch the whole show.

I know Joe did the theme tune but it would better with Funk 49 instead!

Nice work colin…congrats

In reply to M1BUU:
Colin, outstanding job!!! Both on the video and the rockmite build.

You inspired me to finally take mine out to a summit.
I did a blog entry about it here: http://k0jqz.blogspot.com

At the end of the entry is a hasty youtube video. It was a lot of fun to have a mild pileup going.

Pete, Klaus and Frank, thanks for your comments.

Nice to hear you’ve been inspired to take your RockMite on a SOTA trip. I think it’s good to go ‘minimalist’ every once in a while, it helps you to appreciate all the bells and whistles of more complex radios like the MTR or KX3, etc.!

Not yet had time to view your video, I’ve been busy building a RockMite 40 that I hope will be on the air for Mighty Mite weekend. I’ll hopefully take a view of your video this evening.

Colin and Elliot, I look forward to Mighty Mite Weekend (thanks for the link El). As luck would have it the weather is going to cause somewhat of a challenge here in the Front Range of the Rockies but I will make a go of it as long as it is safe.

I was so excited when I heard there was another SOTA video on HN! Great job Colin! I was traveling for our Thanksgiving holiday so I was listening to the live stream on my iPhone and had to watch the video the next day so I could see the pictures that went along with what I heard. Really great job!
