It is a neat animation, but for the UK I prefer the met office - see UK weather map - Met Office

I’m just mesmerized by the dynamic world-wide wind flow map on https://www.ventusky.com/ - especially the storms in the Atlantic and in the southern hemisphere oceans. It’s a real cpu hog though.
