Congratulations Robert M0RWX - 5th Goat!

Massive congratulations to Robert on reaching 5,000 activator points.

He’s on another mammoth expedition, racking up points in DM/BW at present… I’m not sure if he’s finished or not for this trip.

He demonstrates significant dedication on these trips, activating 4, 5 or even 6 summits some days, putting in maximum effort for a week or two!

Great to get you S2S from Corfu recently!

Well done Robert.

I have attempted contact on many of your recent activations but defeated by local noise. Nearly got you from The Buckstone yesterday but a contester stole that one.

Hope to catch before too long.

Well done Robert. You zoomed past me in the points table so quickly I didn’t have time to notice almost and then you hit the 5th goat. Onwards and upwards!

Congratulations Robert! I don’t know how you find the time, especially when you always seem to be chasing me on SOTA and POTA. :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks all for the well-wishes and a big thanks to all the chasers and fellow activators on a summit making contact.

I still have half written reports of previous outings in BM, VO and ‘How to Benelux during an extended weekend’, but were never published, so I guess I’d better finish this one…

I got home early this morning after following your example by picking up a coupe of ON summits during the drive back to Calais.

That was a nice surprise!

Thanks for trying Rod. I have to investigate an issue with my antenna/rig as 20m caused feedback hence mainly used 40m.

Likewise Gerald. Always good to have a QSO.

Thanks Matthew! It was September last year.

Many thanks Jimmy!

The pleasure was all mine John!

Thanks Kevin!

Thanks for the 5x S2S last week!

Many thanks for the support and the contacts last week.

Many thanks Ben. Timings didn’t quite work out for a S2S during your stay on GM/SI.

Quietly, undertaking when people looked the other way…

Thanks Allan!

Thanks Mark. Haha. That is funny. Cool, less so; driven perhaps…

Thanks for the contact on the day!

Likewise Tim. Thanks for the QSO.

Thanks!

If only I were retired….
When I put my callsign into the ‘SOTA Recommender’ tool, the vast majority of summits were in GM. Lived in the UK for 36 years and only been to Scotland twice, so about time I made some trips to GM next year.

I’m sure you said that last year!

I recall quoting sun and lack of midges in DM as reasons I went there iso GM.

If I did though, it was never my intention to obfuscate; injuries permitting, I shall be active in GM next year.
