I have just created this Telegram bot Telegram: Launch @sotachaser_bot where the chasers can select any prefix/call to receive the spots on real time. Simple interface with typical “/” bot commands. 73 de Iñigo EA2CQ
Thanks for the info, cannot test it as I am not using the telegram app. For me HamAlert is “the” tool for receiving alerts in real-time … there are all kinds of different triggers to setup:

Martin
This is my favorite app

My bot is much simpler than wonderful HamAlert. I made it only for SOTA chasers, not installation needed and compatible with any Telegram device, not only IOS/Android.
Thanks for creating this! I will give it a test and feedback.
Seems like a good idea for convince, at the moment I rely on VK-port-a-log for spot notifications which is not ideal as it is much better for logging.

Hi Iñigo,
Thanks for the Bot! One question:
I want to be informed when my friend EA2BD is spotted. I subscribe to /sub EA2BD
. What happens when he activates as F/EA2BD/P?
Best 73!

Have you tried, i.e.:
/sub EA2BD,F/EA2BD/P
73, Mikel
One thing that could be done server side is to extract the callsign without ?/[…]/?, then the client should only subscribe to the callsign. So, if Ignacio travels let’s say, to CT, I will be informed even if I did not previously subscribe to CT7/EA2BD/P.
Just an idea!

Now you can add subscription this way:
/sub #CALLSIGN (with ‘#”)
and you will receive the spots of the callsign with/without prefix and/or suffix.

Nice addition, and the use of # will avoid the match of f.i. , EA2CQ and EA2CQQ on normal /sub filters
Hope the effort deserves it and Alberto to be happy now. Good job, Iñigo!
Added “/alerts” command. Guess what it does
