Interesting that you’re using thumb = ‘dah’
I had to grab a paddle after watching the video and try - I’m using it the other way: thumb = ‘dit’ 
Maybe I’ll build one as well. The key is looking good

I gota have Dit’s on the thumb too but can send either hand.
LY2H has made a YouTube about that type of paddle and how he made his.
