Unlike gear, where most people will have an opinion, whether they have owned/used it or not, every activator will have an opinion about the boots they used over the years, and what worked for them - and most are keen to share it!
Many make/models are not geared towards wider feet, others are not suitable for those with a high instep; so it’s all very personal and a make/model which may be the perfect for one, would not be a good fit for someone else.
The OP wanted recommendations for leather boots up to £125.
I have had a variety of leather boots over the years; most - but not all - were a bit more expensive. All of them being waterproof initially, lost his over time, despite regular maintenance.
All of them though became like slippers moulding around my feet.
This is less so with my synthetic boots, which I find stiffer in general, but I now favour as they require less maintenance and found them to remain waterproof for longer.
