HI Guys,
one day in August I will be in Luzern, could you give me some information about Bireggwald. Which is the best car parking and track for family?
Thank you

Hi,
I activated this one a couple of weeks ago. Easy activation, there are even bench seats there. I followed the directions from Marcus, HB9DIZ that he posted on his activation report.
We caught the bus from Lucerne central station to the Rodtegg stop. As a tourist, we used a free Lucerne bus pass. Itās a nice walk from this bus stop through the forest to the summit.
There are good views over Lake Lucerne.
For the return trip, we walked towards the lake in an easterly direction, then north and ended up in Mattof. From there we caught a bus back to the central station.
Iām not sure of car access though.
Glenn.
Hi Glenn,
Iāam sure, you mean Lake Lucerne?

HaHaā¦ yes. I was confused with Friedrichshafen the week before
Hi all
Great to see that such reports help others over the years to have a good time when doing SOTA abroad on unknown summits. Donāt forget to check out the summit page of a summit or the corresponding SOTA summit page on SOTLAS to see if others have made available useful info for visitors.
My new favourite place on this summit can be seen in a later report - a piece of rock in a good distance to the traffic sign used to erect the endfed antenna:
Enjoy your stay, vy 73!

PS: Thanks VK3YY for offering the summit for a 10 m QSO recently!
Many thanks for the replies.
This activation will be the break during the travel to Alsace/Vosges.
I will climb up with: my wife, our 3yo daughter, 1yo son and the dog. I think at a quick and monoband activation.
