Going to build a battery pack out of 6 x 18650 batteries, but i need to wrap the pack to protect it once assembles and top make it lass cumbersome to use! But what size and type of wrap do i need?? the more i se on amazon, the more confused i get! haha the batteries will be laid out in a 3x3 format with the BMS ETC on the top, one wire out for charge, and the other out for power!
You can also buy the insulator washers if the ones on your cells are scabby.
There are many people selling these. Those are just examples.
I have my 18650s as individual cells in carriers rather than wrapped into a pack. Make sure you buy a holder with these kind of springy tabs not the ones with coiled springs if you go this route.
For packs of multiple cells you can do the math to find the circumfence (or take a flexible tape measure) of the pack and get a suitable shrinking tube
This seller has flat and round diameters listed so it is easier to find something suitable Pardon our interruption...
Normally, the size refers to the width of the wrap laid flat. So to find out the size you need, wrap paper around your proposed battery pack, fold it in half and measure, then add a bit.
