Hi ARM managers,
Dave KO4YLZ here. Some of you may be aware that for several years I’ve been sending out FREE Mountain Goat “ear tags” to anyone in the W4 region that achieves MG. My way of giving back to such a great community. Since I began offering the free ear tags, I’ve recieved many messages from people in other US regions asking if I can send them one for their region.
Unfortunately, I order these actual goat ear tags made of vinyl in small custom batches which makes it impractical to offer them for free to all US regions. However, I recently designed an identical (actually improved) ear tag that can be 3D printed and that can have ANY region designation. Attached is a picture of a new ear tag I make (W0C region as an example). The new tag is even better. Because there is a time commitment, material cost, increased mailing cost, and wear-and-tear on my 3D printer, I unfortunately cannot offer the new ear tag with a custom region designation for free.
So, I would appreciate input from ARM managers on how I might go about making the community aware without violating the rules of the Reflector or regional groups.io boards which prohibit “for sale” type posts. Also, if I’m wrong, and the groups.io associated with your region does allow “for sale” type posts, please let me know which groups.io board(s).

- EU managers: I didn’t forget about you. I just have to figure out how to keep the shipping cost down.
- My agreement with SOTA.org has allowed me to put the SOTA logo on the orginal W4 eartags as long as I don’t sell them, which I have not. The new and improved custom ear tag does not bear the official logo.
