Association Updates 1st May 2025

These are the updates for May 2025.

VE2

The AM role for VE2 has transferred to Eric Wouters, VA2MO. Many thanks to Eric and also to the previous AM, Eric Gosselin VA2EO.

VE7

The AM role for VE7 has transferred to Mike VE7KPZ. Many thanks to Mike and also to the previous AM,John, VA7JBE.

You will probably see Mike listed under all the RM entries too, but this is pending finalization of any updates.

There are also 1346 new summits for regions AC, NO, OS, and TN. VE7/TN-003 was listed in the wrong region and has become VE7/OS-016.

Many thanks to the volunteers who have helped reading from BC mapping to confirm these.

LA

There are 379 new summits in LA/NT

In LA/ST we have replaced one summit: LA/ST-328 replacing LA/ST-138.

One the Bergen summits is being retired due to low P: LA/HL-024

LA/ST-080 and LA/ST-231 have had their positions corrected.

Thanks to Aage and Leif.

FJ

This is a new association for Saint Barthélemy. There are 3 summits. Thanks to Robert, F5HTR, for adding to his list!

D4

One more new association – Cape Verde (Cabo Verde).

We are still looking for a volunteer to take the AM role. Please note that in the absence of an AM we have no source for local advice, so please take particular care to research for yourself ahead of attempting any activations.

With acknowledgement to Open Street Map contributors for the background mapping on the above maps.

We might add that the big pile of new summits in VE7 is available a few hours from now, on May first. The ARM will update any time now.

Many thanks to all the people working on the huge update to the VE7 area of Canada. I have heard rumours of there being over 29,000 potential summits in BC, and it is not hard to believe as you fly over or drive through the mountain ranges.
Great work!
