APRS on LilyGo T-Deck Plus - Keyboard doesn't work

Hi all,
recently (Dec’25) I got a LilyGo T-Deck Plus 433 MHz and installed Ricardo’s CA2RXU excellent SW on it. GPS and automatic sending of position reports works (somewhat as there are not that many repeaters around me).
What doesn’t work, though, is the keyboard. When I want to type a message, it says “no keyboard detected”. This does not work with the latest and greatest (2.1.4) and also my previous version (Dec’25). Neither does it work with V2.0.3 which seems to work for LB5JJ (according to his YouTube video).

Any idea?

Another one is Andy Kirby who has his own YouTube channel, he is a ham but devotes a lot of time to 868 LoRa but does use the T deck, he also has his own Discord channel

sorry for the late replay and thanks for the two links. I’ll try.
Meanwhile I have flashed the Meshtastic FW and this one recognizes the keyboard.

Update: I just installed the latest & brightest V2.2.1 (2025-02-13) (after having a little trouble getting out of the Meshtastic FW - you have to press the reset button (left), then press the trackball, then release the reset button, then release after 1 sec the trackball).
It still says “no keyboard detected”, but accepts key presses. Strange. Don’t know whether this was so already before.
