Anyone used the Radtel RT4D for DMR ?

Hello Everyone,

I have recently brought my self a Radtel RT4D DMR handheld. In someways I would say it’s better than the Baofeng UV5r that it will be replacing in my mobile setup. more audio output, better display and signal meter and has the ability to listen to Airband ( reminds me of the old AM CB radio days with all the hetertrodyning ,GREAT !). But the RX picks up much more noise and the menu system is really naff ( All my own option of course !) I have yet to get the thing working on DMR which is a mixture of not knowing if the repeaters are even there anymore, the fact the menu system seems to be different to other peoples and my complete lack of knowledge on DMR. So my question is step by step how would I program a DMR repeater in ? My Mrs is near to killing me with all the bleeping from the radio and bleeping this and bleeping that coming from me trying to get the thing working  So far I have wasted 3 evenings of my free time

Thanks all

From boafengradio.com:

See if the repeater you are trying to access is on the Brandmeister network. If it is, you can go on the BM website to see if there is any activity and check if you have set it up right.

I’ve only ever accessed a local repeater with DMR and performed some functions on it (e.g. change talkgroup). Never had a contact using that mode.
