Mis buenos amigos Elena y Alejandro acaban de alcanzar su séptima cabra montesa. Mi felicitación más sincera para esta pareja entrañable. Montañeros “de toda la vida” descubrieron SOTA en 2019. Desde entonces periódicamente toman su autocaravana y recorren toda España en largos viajes, donde cada mañana, si el tiempo lo permite, activan una cumbre sota. No solo España, también Portugal, Francia, Alemania… De esta forma, van sumando puntos a velocidad de vértigo y suman un nuevo trofeo cabra montesa cada año.
My good friends Elena and Alejandro have just reached their seventh mountain goat. My sincere congratulations to this lovely couple. Lifelong mountaineers, they discovered SOTA in 2019. Since then, they regularly take their motorhome and travel all over Spain on long trips, where every morning, weather permitting, they activate a SOTA summit. Not only Spain, but also Portugal, France, Germany… In this way, they are racking up points at breakneck speed and adding a new mountain goat trophy every year.
Siempre van juntos. En cada activación se reparten las bandas de trabajo. Últimamente trabajan mayormente en CW, con gran maestría y seguridad. Todos los corresponsales conocemos su trato amable y cariñoso. Tuve la suerte de conocerlos hace unos años, durante alguno de sus viajes por mi tierra. Desde entonces ha surgido una profunda amistad y admiración por este matrimonio. Hemos hecho varias activaciones juntos y siempre disfruto en su compañía.
They always go together. At each activation, they divide up the working bands. Lately, they have been working mainly in CW, with great skill and confidence. All of us correspondents know how friendly and affectionate they are. I was lucky enough to meet them a few years ago, during one of their trips to my homeland. Since then, a deep friendship and admiration for this couple has developed. We have done several activations together and I always enjoy their company.

Me agrada ver que el área EA1 es dónde más cumbres han activado. Hay que reconocer que es el territorio más extenso de España y con el mayor número de cumbres.
