Adif upload broken?

This is to do with possibly some changes Andrew made to support logging out when you had multiple SOTA tabs open. And that is to do with the never ending escalation of browser security as hacker try more and more ways to break security measures.

I use Firefox and Brave on Windows, Linux and just Brave on Android. In Firefox I have many plugins to enhance privacy etc. such as NoScript, Ghostery, uBlock Origin. You don’t need these with Brave as it has it’s own tools to block adverts and scripts. By default these are enabled on Brave.

Since the updates, you need to drop Brave’s shields to make it work on SOTA webpages. This is not a privacy issue as you are going to log into to these domains anyway.

This shows where the Brave Shields button is located, I was logged in to SOTAwatch.

Click the shield and the next page appears. This shows that shields are up and the name of the site the shields are working on. Click the highlighted slider button. This disables shields for the site. Things should now work fine.

If you use Brave on Android, you need to go to settings and the Shields page is in there.

And why Brave for those that don’t know?

Brave is built from the same source that Google Chrome is built from. So it does everything Chrome does and works like Chrome. But there’s no Google Spyware built in. :sunny:  :sunny:

I have persuaded Mrs FMF to use Brave instead of Edge or Chrome. She never got on with Firefox + adblockers as it was too hard to use to buy things online. But she never complains about Brave and there’s less IT support needed from me
