G4ROJ (Roger) & G3PKW (Andy) were /P this afternoon from Lincolnshire. Had a chat with Andy; lots of very interesting techy stuff to make things work. Roger is OK about enquiries via email ( he was taking photos at the time).

I’d have thought that if you weren’t using an omni suspended vertically that steerability was the major requirement. Other wise you have a random antenna with a random radiation pattern and random contacts.
