Great report & pics, Paul, it’s on my to-do list. Thanks for the qso also, I was operating from Wirral A.R.S as G3NWR. Btw, Mrs MHF has some ancestors in that graveyard!

There seem to be a problem with the video on the activation report , it’s now fixed.

Thanks John

That did throw me a bit😀, I recognised the voice, but the call didn’t seem familiar. But I definitely had summit brain by that point and getting cold.

Nice report John,

I have activated Black Combe twice, both times by parking at Beckside, walking North up the mine track to Blackcombe Beck and then directisimer via Sty Knotts. Your route looks less steep. By either route it is a little visited, remote part of the lakes. Nice.

Thanks Paul for the summit to summit. Sorry if I was less than chatty, I was frozen stiff and couldn’t get the phone screen to respond, perhaps it was also frozen

Thanks David.
It was only 30 minutes from where we were staying, and so I couldn’t miss the opportunity

Likewise, thanks for the S2S. It was cold! I was soon talking like ventriloquist dummy, as I couldn’t move my lips toward the end of my activation.
