Activation Report: Black Hill Bivvy

GM/SS-167

I’ve decided to put it on my newly created website this time.

In reply to MM0HAI:

Many thanks for the most interesting report Alistair. You are a far greater man than I - I may start my SOTA days at 03:00, but bivvying at this time of year holds absolutely no interest for me. Far more welcome is the comfort of the Travelodge room. A night out activating appeals, but only when the weather is at its most beneign.

In reply to MM0HAI:

Fabulous stuff Alistair.

Nice to hear good feedback for the Alpkit bivvy bag, I’ve recently procured one, just not used it in anger yet.

I’ve done a wee bit of bivvying, not enough, I’m not sure why I don’t do more, you might just have pushed it up my list again.

Iain, MM3WJZ

In reply to MM3WJZ:
I wasn’t going to review it until I had done more extensive testing but my final decision to buy was influenced by someone else’s view. “I love my bivvy bag”, she slurred one morning after ample Ledaig.

Unexpected heavy rain (perhaps with a nice gusty wind) will soon remind you!
