It’s not 100% yet John, but after dropping it off at the garage again today, I’m hoping to have it back tomorrow completely sorted thanks for calling in - have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Thank you very much Gerald - conditions on 80m were very up and down. I was receiving really good radio reports, but some stations to me were weak! Once I’d worked everyone, it was time to pack up and defrost my fingers thank you for listening out for me!
Thanks for listening out for me Fraser - it was a mission to erect a 130ft EFHW on top of Snowdon, hahaaa, but it worked well.
Hi Mark,
Thank you very much for setting up and trying to work me, unfortunately 40m for me was a no go - after working quite a few stations on 80m, the fingers started to freeze. I wish I’d looked on the reflector now, I would have spotted on 40m just to try and work you.
Have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year - look forward to many more qso’s in 2023!

Thank you very much Nick - it was great to work you! Have a nice festive period and I hope to make many qso’s with you throughout 2023
No worries Ben, what you did was a great thing - I just got a bit cold on a snowboarding holiday, not exactly what you’d call putting myself out!
Congratulations on the activation and I am always happy to see SOTA stations working 80m as it isn’t an easy band for antennas and the audience are usually very appreciative.
Be sure to post how much you’ve raised.
Cheers, Mark.
Hi Ben,
Congratulations on your activation under the toughest conditions, I have only the greatest respect and admiration.
I was listening on 80 m, but your signal was too weak. I could only hear a few of the other stations.
Have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Thank you very much Mark. I’ve always wanted to activate Snowdon on HF, so having done so now on 80m has made my year of activating in GW land.
Currently I’ve raised £1001, I’m over the moon with that amount! I will have one more push at work tomorrow to see if I can squeeze anymore, but I’m so grateful to everyone who has supported and donated
I hope you have a nice Christmas and a happy new year. Will see you up the lakes next year!

Hi Karl,
Thank you very much for the kind words, I really appreciate it!
I’m gutted my signal wasn’t making it over to you strong enough to enable a qso - it would of been great to make the contact! Never mind, fingers crossed for next time!
I look forward to coming across again next year and joining you on another joint activation - we’ll have to find another unique summit to activate
My friend informs me your new antenna will be sent just after Christmas, he has been struggling with parts - I think everyone has.
Have a great Christmas and a happy new year!

Great effort both of you for a very worthy cause.
Made it back in time from GW/NW-046 (Rhialgwm) and could just about hear you on 80m.
But decided not to call you in case we would have to repeat signal reports several times and with it possibly interrupting your flow.
Speak soon & have a fantastic Christmas Chez BML.

Thanks Robert - if I had known, you could have called for a cuppa, Rhialgwm isn’t too far away from mine!
I wish you and the family a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Look forward to plenty of S2S action in 2023

What? More than our wee day out in the Cairngorms?
Edited, for activating in GW land
