This cannot be SOTA, as Turkey does not have a SOTA association yet, and as such this mountain is not one of the qualifying SOTA peaks. If you are interested in working to set up a SOTA association for Turkey, or know someone who is, please contact Rob G0HRT to get things started. Unfortunately, it won’t be possible to complete this work in time for your proposed activity, and therefore it will not be possible to use the Alerts, Spots or Database logging facility for it, but we wish you well and hope the expedition goes well.
This forum should not generally be used for non-SOTA activities.

In reply to M1EYP:
Hi Tom, I like working QRP station whether they or SOTA or not.
Might be worthwhile, because he may not visit this site for awhile, for someone to send him a PM with link and info about associations etc.

I think we all do Mike, but that doesn’t mean we open this site out to all forms of QRP and portable radio. A few years ago, things got rather “bunged up” with people spotting, alerting and posting about non-SOTA programmes, so we need to keep an eye on it. But hopefully, a concrete proposal for a TA association may emerge.
I disagree with your closing remark. He posted on here - so this is an obvious place to reply!

In reply to M1EYP:
hi all ,
replayment mail from Rob G0HRT;
Hello TA2ANP.
Thanks for your question.
The reason is that no one from Turkey has volunteered to make an application so far.
Do you wish to volunteer to do the work please?
It involves summit research to check which summits will qualify as SOTA summits and producing the Association Reference Manual (ARM)
We look forward to your reply?
