Activation of El Cajon Mtn (W6/SC-115), San Diego, CA

This was an out and back 11mi with 3,771’ of elevation change trail run. It was difficult for me. Bring 3-4L on a warm day, start as early as possible. I made 8 QSO’s (radio contacts) from this 2 point SOTA (Summits On The Air) summit on 146.58-fm (adventure frequency). The water stations had no water.

Rad trail run. What belt/pack setup are you using for your runs?

I was using two on that run, a Sport People 2 pocket (about 1.5" wide) and a Flipbelt (about 3.5" wide). I only carried 1L of water, and next time I’ll carry 2L and use a mesh running vest.
