This should have been a quick & easy single pointer before breakfast, but we thought we could ‘wing it’ instead of following the marked trail on the map, and of course that turned out to be a mistake. The ad-hoc ascent was far more difficult than yesterday’s activation of TF-014 and it took us almost an hour to get up, though at least there was plenty of space on the summit this time around. 26 contacts made after self-spotting including some stations worked yesterday, so many thanks to those who have alerts set up for EA8! High-level notes for this one:
- Plenty of parking along TF-655 near junction with Avenida San Francisco
- Ascent far easier on the marked trail (d’oh!)
- Lots of room on top for antennas
I couldn’t find a way of adding our tracks to the SOTL.as page for this one (at least tracks with more than 99 points) so I uploaded the tracks to my external report.
