Yesterday I activated Mt Donna Buang, VK3/VC-002
The weather was cold and the low cloud and light rain was making everything damp.
I operated from the BBQ shelter using Yaesu FT-450D @ 50 Watts and a linked inverted vee supported on a 9 m squid pole.
One end of the antenna was tied to the roots of a fallen tree and the other end had the winder simple pushed into the ground.
DC power was from a LiFePO4 8.4 Ah battery.
I logged 8 stations on 40m, including ZL1SKL, and 4 stations on 80m.
Logging was on my Lenovo 7" tablet using VK port-a-log
