The year 2024 marked a groundbreaking chapter for West Malaysian amateur radio as the 9M2 Summits on the Air (SOTA) Association was officially approved on 1st January 2024. This exciting milestone brought SOTA to West Malaysia, opening up an incredible 373 qualified summits for radio amateurs to explore and activate.
While it’s just the beginning, the 9M2 SOTA community has already made impressive strides, completing a handful of remarkable activations that have laid the foundation for future growth and enthusiasm. Every activation represents a new journey, connecting radio amateurs with nature, adventure, and the camaraderie of the amateur radio community.

6 Jan 2024: Bukit Habu. Activated by 9M2PJU, 9W2UQU, 9M2YUT, 9M2RMT, and 9W2RFG.
